Peashoot is basically a URL shortener with a killer user interface. You can create campaigns based on shortened links and the Peashoot UI tracks where the links are used – on Twitter, blogs, etc. Campaigns have goals similar to web analytics. A simple goal is to have visitors land on a specific page. Custom goals include market reach, number of inbound links, number of tweets, and number of blog posts. Of course this all assumes everyone uses your specific shortened URL.

LinkedIn Adds Buzz Tracking Application

by Andy Brudtkuhl on November 4, 2008

Last week LinkedIn announced an applications platform (much like Facebook apps) that, “will enable over 30 million professionals on LinkedIn to communicate, collaborate, and share information even better than before.” At first I was skeptical on this announcement thinking that it was just a “me too” play. But I’ve been seeing some promising applications come from it.

One announced today is called Company Buzz that is basically an Online Reputation Management tool baked right into LinkedIn that uses Twitter to monitor what people are saying about your company and/or topics you care about.

Company Buzz

Every second thousands of people are sending out messages about topics and companies through twitter. Company Buzz lets you tap into this information flow to find relevant trends and comments about your company. Install the application and instantly see what people are saying.

* Customize: Modify the topics and add new ones to watch
* Historical Data: See historical charts to track buzz over time
* Trends: Get the top words associated with your topic and quickly drill into see related tweets

You can add this application to your LinkedIn here.
