As if it wasn’t already? Good title from the RWW crew but really – this was inevitable and has been going on since the inception of Twitter. What do you think half of the “Make $1,000 a day on Twitter” e-Books are about?

I am not concerned quite yet – are you? I must say I’d rather have relevant stuff thrown at my face than Twitter e-Books and MLM schemes. At least people will be hawking things like CrushIt and Trust Agents.
Maybe we need another URL shortener to track affiliate links? (sarcasm there)

Is Apple missing out on a huge amount of business from affiliate marketers? Do they care?
Granted this would be a move very unlike Apple but would it not boost sales?
An even better move would be to allow individual developers to opt-in to an affiliate system they could use to help market their application. This way Apple’s revenue would not be affected and the affiliate revenue share could come out of the developer’s pockets.
If I was a an iPhone developer I’d definitely opt-in in hopes of increased awareness and sales.
Will this ever happen? Highly doubt it…

Some killer advice (as usual) from Gary Vaynerchuck.
Some Notes
- Swing for the fence
- “If you aren’t vanity searching blogs and twitter you are a fundamental clown”
- Monetize through building brand equity
- “The newspaper industry is going to get its face beat in”
- When you care, you win
- Go direct to the consumer
