Roku Adds Amazon Video Streaming

This was coming in my 2009 Wishlist post but here it is early… Roku will be adding Amazon Video On Demand to its streaming arsenal “soon”!!!

This is huge… We’ll have more on this later. This little device may be the best $99 I’ve spent on a gadget… If only Netflix would add their entire dvd library to the Watch Instantly library…

Google Mobile App for iPhone

Wow.

The new Google Mobile App for iPhone makes it possible for you to do a Google web search using only your voice. Just hold the phone to your ear, wait for the beep, and say what you’re looking for. That’s it. Just talk. Once the App is on, you don’t have to push any buttons to search. Check out the video below to watch engineer Mike LeBeau explain how this works.

And if you’re doing a local search, there’s no need to specify where you are because Google Mobile App now has Search with My Location. Search for “movie showtimes” or “Mediterranean restaurant” and you’ll automatically see results based on your current location.

Netflix HD Streaming on Xbox 360 = WOW

Earlier this week it was announced that Netflix streaming would be coming to the Xbox 360 via the Fall Update on November 19 - in HD. This is KILLER… check out the video to see how slick it is…

I still love my Roku, but this now means I don’t have to buy another for my man cave :)
