Google Buzz Video

by Andy Brudtkuhl on February 9, 2010

Google launched Google Buzz today.

First impression: wow.

It is a social layer built on Gmail that lets you exchange status updates and share content. Many have compared it to Facebook (which I can see), FriendFeed, Twitter, and others in the space. I can see a little bit of Posterous baked in there too.

Google’s big win here is that it’s built into GMail and not yet another destination that you need to visit. It’s a natural extension of social communication built into the communication tool you are already using.

What do you think of Google Buzz? Game changer? Or copycat? Or both?
