My question – what do you do about that?
Other than this…

UPDATE: I got a reply :-)
Minutes after posting the blog post I got this

Over the last week there has been much discussion on the Apple Tablet and comparisons with the CrunchPad. There have even been discussions on whether an actual market exists for these products – which is similar to discussions in the past regarding netbooks. One person said this is a solution for a problem that doesn’t exist. I agree with that.
Louis Gray is leaning CrunchPad.
Gizmodo says the Apple Tablet has problems.
I for one don’t want a tablet nor a netbook… Here’s why
There are four types of computer hardware that I use regularly…
1. Workstation – big, powerful, multiple screened PC for long periods of work
2. 13″ Macbook – mobile, small form factor, productive
3. iPhone – very mobile, always on
4. Media Centers – group of networked Media Center PC’s hooked up to tv’s and projector
I don’t see where a tablet – or even a netbook – fits into this hardware lineup. As cool as these devices look I cannot see a reason to include them into my mix above. The CrunchPad has been advertised as a “couch device” – something to use while you are lounging around and want to surf the web. I have an iPhone for that. And if I need more – I’ll walk to my home office and grab my laptop. Or, I’ll grab the wireless keyboard and mouse on my coffee table and surf around the web on my media center.
I just don’t see the need for these devices – as cool as they may look.

Am I missing something? Are you excited for these devices? If so – why? Let us know in the comments!

I’ve started writing regularly on all things web strategy again over at Web Strategy Workshop. Today we created a quick Bing Website Optimization Guide as well as offered 5 Bing SEO tips.
Why? Well as the data junkies we are at 48Web we saw a trend in traffic – specifically coming from Bing – and decided to take measures to optimize traffic generation from it. These trends include a jump in organic search traffic and high rankings on targeted keywords.

Afterall – it’s currently the #13 most visited site on the web. People are using Bing. It’s okay – I was hoping to ignore it too.

I finally got sick of the design I’ve had for the last several months – mostly the aggregate page on the homepage.
We’ve switched over to thesis and added a few touches. More coming soon but I love fresh starts!
RSS Readers – stop by and let us know what you think – it’s still a work in progress but the results thus far are much cleaner.
Unfortunately I still need to add some ads back in – hey it pays for my great Rackspace Cloud hosting :-) If only they’d just sponsor the sight so I could keep it clean :-) Scoble – can you hook me up?
