Yes, we did read that.
The Des Moines Register has no problem with linking to elsewhere on the web. None. Zero. Never heard one person here say anything like that.
We certainly haven’t 100 percent put our money where our mouth is on that, but we’re working on that.
@Chris – haha good to know you’re listening.. that was a test.. Yes you guys have been doing a MUCH better job at linking out – we just like to give you crap about it…
But on a more serious note there is the mentality in the industry (from an outsider’s view) that the idea of linking out is bad when in fact it can be really good. I think the guys at Publish2 are on to it as well and are doing a great job at pushing the envelope.
