Lunascape - A Web Designer Tool
November 25, 2008 by Andy Brudtkuhl
Are you a web designer that has the luxury frustration of doing cross browser testing? Are you in charge of cross browser testing your websites? Well look no further than Lunascape 2.0. It’s a web browser that allows you to change rendering engines on the fly in one application. You can test what your design looks like in Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, and Chrome. There is also built-in screen scraping so you if you aren’t a designer you can easily send those random IE design issues to your designer much easier.
Pros
- Test all major browsers in one application
- Easily switch between rendering engines
- Built in screen capture
- Built in RSS reader
- Customizable skins
- Plugin Community
Cons
- No Mac version (boooo!)
- No plugin support (sucks for Firefox users)

No MAC? no Plug-in support? What’s the point? Do I need to go get a PC?

@Andrew - I will not be using this browser as my sole browser - only for testing. It’s awesome for testing as you don’t have to flip back and forth between browsers/platforms.
No Mac support is a BIG turnoff but luckily I have Windows running in Parallels for other reasons so this will be great to use for cross-browser testing.
It says in the nice little Flash presentation on the homepage:
\"Highly compatible with IE add-ons, Firefox plugins\" so hopefully they will be putting support in soon!
Great resource for testing!
