Boy, AT&T… you are really blowing it… Looks like I’m not the only one…
at&t and customers finally on the same page: We hate you, you hate us (awesome title)
The kicker for me though is the arrogance that Apple and at&t show to their loyal customers
AT&T Fails to Provide Service, Holds $750 Deposit Hostage for Two Months
AT&T demanded a $750 deposit from Richard before selling him an iPhone, but couldn’t provide service because they improperly entered his address. Richard spent hours at the AT&T store trying to fix the mistake before deciding to cut his losses and recover the deposit. AT&T promised to refund his money in 7-10 days. That was two months ago. Why the hold-up? AT&T can’t issue the refund because they don’t have Richard’s proper address.
Oh, and that whole thing about getting to keep my current voice plan, they won’t do it. I am bait-and-switched into either a) walking out without iPhones or b) signing up for a $15/month more expensive voice plan.
Why I Hate Salespeople: AT&T Pisses Me Off
Long story short, as of 9pm last night, several local Apple stores still reported having 16g iPhones in stock. I could’ve had one yesterday, or I certainly could have had one today. Instead, I have to wait for an *INDETERMINABLE* amount of time for AT&T to get the phone shipped out to one specific store. That could be a week, that could be two weeks, that could be a month, that could be two months - that could be as long as it takes, and I can’t back out of the deal. So, here I am… really pissed off at AT&T’s idea of customer service, and REALLY pissed off at myself.
Apple ATT Lie About iPhone 3G Pricing
What a crock. If you are not an ATT customer, the iPhone 3G is $199
If you are an existing iPhone user, the iPhone 3G is $199
If you are an Amish Farmer, the iPhone is $199
BUT …. IF YOU ARE A LOYAL ATT CUSTOMER FOR YEARS AND WANT AN IPHONE 3G, the Price is $399.
The Dead Zone: AT&T’s iPhone 3G Coverage Woes
Pumped about those blazing-fast 3G Internet speeds?Hope you don’t live in beautiful Bozeman, Montana; Burlington, Vermont; or Des Moines, Iowa…
AT&T, I’m Buying An iPhone…But You SUCK!!!
Here’s where it all went wrong…She gets on the phone with AT&T and they said my phone was not active. She said Ma’am. I’m watching text messages come over his phone that you say is not active. It’s an iPhone…how could it not be active. It says Twitter on his screen right now…She then looked at me and asked, What’s twitter?
This is where I think…twitter is that thing I’m going to use to tell the whole freaking world that AT&T sucks right now.
Current AT&T customers, who are not current iPhone users are not eligible for the reduced priced iPhone until their contract expires. I am getting penalized and not able to spend my money on a product I want because it has only been a year since I signed my first AT&T contract.
Just recovering from AT&T Hell..
AT&T someone should be fired for the terrible communication about corporate discounts. Now you have a customer who has to sign back up for his corporate discount and wait another six weeks! This is completely nuts! If it wasn’t for Apple stepping up to the plate AT&T you would have completely lost me as a customer.
If I want the iPhone, I’ll have to pay $200 to break my service contract, which would basically put the cost of the phone at $400.
AT&T iPhone Activation Idiocracy
Because I’ve been such a loyal AT&T customer all these years, I won’t qualify for a fully-subsidized upgrade until October. I could pay an extra $200 to upgrade now, but I cannot justify $200 for not waiting 3 months for a new phone. This is because sometime last February, I got a Cingular 3125 because at that time, my old Motorola’s battery was so terrible at holding a charge that the battery would drain if I used it while it was plugged in. Long story short, I can’t upgrade for awhile unless I want to pay a $200 premium.Tags: at&t, fail

1Gee I signed a contract for two years but now that a new gadget has come out I want out of my contract. It\\\’s not fair that I have to abide by the terms of the contract, even though I would hold AT&T to their terms. It\\\’s like a bunch of children throwing temper tantrums.
What a bunch of whiners, grow up and realize that signing a contract means both parties need to hold up to it\\\’s terms.
I have to wait till January of 2009 for my term to be up so I can get an iPhone and that\\\’s what I intend to do.

2Waited 9 months for the iPhone. I signed up with AT&T back in march 08 anticipating the purchase of the new iPhone. I go into the store to buy the 16 gb one for 299.00. I had $150.00 in gift cards and was planning on bill to be around $200.00 after a case and taxes. Then I\’m smaked with a $200.00 surprise from AT&T. 2 days previous to the purchase I called AT&T to find out if there would be any drastic charges. They said no. So long story short AT&T bait and switched myself and thousands of others. These a$\"&$@& holes need to refund this fee. Make some noise and let us know what happens when demanding your hard earned $200.00 back from these crooks.

3@Thomas I am not whining about the terms of the contract. I’m asking why a business would deliberately turn down more business. There is more to the story than terms of cell phone contracts. The fact of the matter is they won’t let me RENEW early. I can see not letting me out of my contract early to go elsewhere.. I want to RENEW! How hard is that for you to understand?

5I moved to a new address last month and asked ATT to transfer my phone number to my new address. After moving, ATT claimed they had to give me a temporary number and proceeded to charge me for it and then charge me for CHANGING the temporary number to my old existing number. I\’m not paying for something I didn\’t ask for. I did
NOT ask for the temporary number nor did I ask for a number change. I simply asked them to TRANSFER my existing number to a new address.
That\’s the first problem. The second problem is with the quad package I ordered. I ordered landline service, wireless cellphone service, dishnetwork tv, and DSL for about $180 a month. So far, ATT has billed me separately for the landline service and a whopping $343 for cellphone service that doesn\’t even work half the time!!
The third problem is that ATT is preventing my ISP from giving me the SAME EXACT DSL service I had before I ordered the quad package. After telling me I would have to pay a $100 deposit to get DSL, ATT cancelled the DSL part of the quad package and reduced it to a triad package so that I could continue with my ISP\’s DSL service. But my isp says that ATT refuses to let them give me the DSL service I had before I moved. (My isp orders DSL through ATT.) ATT told my ISP that DSL wasn\’t in my area even though I moved just two blocks away. I called ATT to ask why, and they said DSL IS indeed available in my area, that I don\’t have to pay a $100 deposit anymore, and that they
put in an order for me. I believe this violates FCC Rules since they are preventing my ISP from giving me service that i had and want to continue to use.
I am not paying this outrageous bill. They\’re charging me a month in advance for things I DON’T have, CAN’T use, and apparently CAN\’T have.
Whoever heard of a $343 cellphone bill?? I only had it since July 12th or something??
