.NET Opening Up!

When Visual Studio 2008 is released later this year, Microsoft will be releasing the source code for the base classes of the .NET framework for use as reference.

This isn’t quite open source since the community won’t be allowed to contribute changes to the code but it’s a big step forward to transparency for the Microsoft Development Stack.
