If you actively read this blog you know I’m a Microsoftee. Truth is 90% of that reason is because I am a Microsoft Developer (ASP.Net, C#, SQL Server). If I could run Visual Studio on a Mac, I would go for it - IF they weren’t double the price of the badass PC I just built.

News today from ComputerWorld is Apple is now selling more than one in six laptops in the U.S.

The market share increase pushed Apple past Gateway Inc. into third place on NPD’s list of laptop sales leaders, behind Hewlett-Packard Co. and Toshiba Corp. Research firm IDC also has Apple in the third spot; data it released last month put Apple’s share of U.S. sales at 5.6%, far behind leaders HP (28.4%) and Dell (23.6%) but tied with Gateway.

Now that Acer just purchased Gateway these numbers may already be off. Also Acer is looking to buy Packard Bell (yes, somehow they still exist).

While I’m talking about Apple - I get really annoyed by you fanboys and fangirls when you freak out every time Apple announces a press conference. But, I am amazed at their marketing power. They really have you all by the bullocks. Apple seems have permission marketing down to a science.
