Once again as I was stumbling through my gallery feeds I came across gottabet. I originally went to the site to view their design. It looked like the typical ‘web2.0′ theme if you will, but it was nice, bubbly and clean. Reminded me of the Skype website actually.

There was a lot going on the homepage (even though it was organized well) but after a little searching, I still wasn’t quite sure what the site was all about, so I clicked on “How it works.” As soon as the page loaded I instantly understood not only what they offered, but exactly how it worked. They use a series of images in a storyboard fashion to show how users can login to the site and place bets with their friends and others in this small niche community.

This must have grabbed my attention due to the fact that Andy and I are thinking of doing something to this extent for the FAQ portion of a product we have been working on. I think we’ll even go one step beyond gottabet by using short video clips to illustrate the processes of logging on, registering etc etc.

I honestly can’t see where many people would visit this site every time they said “Wanna bet?” but I could see the initial user base being somewhat large. I would go into this more, but all I wanted to do was focus more on their design and usability, but go check it out gottabet.com. Register, and go start your own bet, or bet on someone else’s bet.
