Why I won’t buy an iPhone – yet

Guy Kawasaki wrote a good post yesterday called ‘Great Expectations‘ – about the iPhone. He has a few questions about the iPhone that attempt to break through the hype to get real answers. I’ve stated that I want one – but I also want a lot of things. So here are my reasons why I WONT buy an iPhone – yet.
1. I have a year old 30gb Video iPod. So, I can already do all the non-phone features included with the iPhone.
2. There are so many other gadgets I would rather have for $600
3. I’m a Windows kind of guy. My current smartphone runs Windows Mobile 5 – and I want to get on Windows Mobile 6.
4. Don’t tell the gadget geeks on me – but sometimes I just want a phone that’s a good phone – nothing else.
5. I don’t really want to try a first version of a hardware product. I waited to get an iPod until the 5th generation. Not to mention the 2nd gen iPhone will most likely be out within at least a year of launch this June. This means there will be a much better version out of your $500 toy.
