I’ve been tagged. Zane tagged me on the 5 reasons I blog.
I enjoy writing. As an ex history student turned technologist writing comes naturally and I love doing it. A goal of mine is to become a writer for a traditional media outlet – magazine, newspaper. I think being a technology columnist / reporter / evangelist would be a wonderful change from the world of software development.
Learning. Blogging allows me to have conversations with so many smart people that I am always learning while doing it. To me learning is an addiction. I read everything I can. Blogging gives me a chance to join in on the conversation which not only allows me to share my ideas but allows me to learn that much more. The best classes in college are those taught with a high level of interaction. Blogging provides the high level of interaction I love in a learning environment.
Networking. Blogging has allowed me to meet a lot of great people. As a young businessman / entrepreneur this gives me so many opportunities to learn from not only the smartest people here in Iowa – but people all over the world.
It’s just good business. Blogging allows me to share my expertise. If a potential client wants to know more about me or how I do business, they can refer to my blog. This high level of transparency lets people see what we are about before they make their decision to contact us. Hopefully in most cases the result of this process is good.
New Media. New media is a fascinating subject to me. Being apart of something allows you to know more about it. And that’s why I love participating in this exciting, relatively new medium.
Now I shall pass it on to…

Christian Montoya – The Montoya Herald
Mike Wagner – Own Your Brand
