Blogger = Spam Heaven

March 23, 2007 by Andy Brudtkuhl  - Leave A Comment

Blogger, the blog publishing system owned by Google, is in trouble. A recent study coming out of Microsoft Research called ‘Spam Double-Funnel: Connecting Web Spammers with Advertisers‘ (pdf) claims 75% of Blogspot blogs are spam. (Blogger runs on the blogspot domain)

I find this funny since Chris Pirillo called them out in October 2005 for this exact issue.

    This is something so dreadfully clear when browsing it.

    A few of my good friends insist on using Blogspot despite my protests, yet most of the occasions in which I click that wee 'next blog' button I come across viagra spam. Lovely.
