Subliminal Advertising on TV

I’ve read many articles on subliminal advertising and product placement in the entertainment industry. And I once read about advertisers literally splicing a single fram advertisement in a show that is barely noticeable by the naked eye.

There are two reasons – to get people with DVR’s to check out the ad (pause, rewind to see if they really saw something) and sub-conscious messages.

I believe it was on Iron Chef or something similar.
