We built this site over the last week since our first gathering of the Central Iowa Bloggers. I’ve just finished implementing the News River and an RSS feed based on the News River. It shows the last 15 posts from the community.
It’s a simple design but we wanted to focus on the content and news river.
Enjoy some great Iowan bloggers!

Want to find out first hand what all this buzz is about Vista? Microsoft set up a web site that allows you to use Vista in your browser.
Just go there, give them your email address, and you are in Vista. Note, you must be using Internet Explorer 6+ to use this website.
Enjoy.
And yes, I’m still lovin it.

As you all may know, I haven’t posted in a while, but thats about to change. I’ve been very busy lately working, and traveling and playing in my band, but I’m going to be around more and more from now on.
And with that, while Andy and I have been hard at work on some projects, we’ve also been talking about redesigning GANB. The last redesign was back in May 06, and personally, I’m getting a little antsy for a change (but I always do).
So we thought we’d ask you, the readers what it is that you’d like to see changed around here. Or if you like everything just the way it is, thats fine too :)
Please feel free to leave a comment with any suggestions, we’d love to have them before we start anything because we want to make this the best we can for our readers.
Thanks everyone, hope to get some good feedback.

Why did Steve Jobs choose Cingular? Here’s 10 reasons (no specific order)
1. On-Demand Mobile TV – Cartoon Network, CNN, Adult Swim, ESPN, Fox
2. Exclusive Disney Deal (well, Jobs does own half of disney)
3. HBO deal – Sopranos, Curb Your Enthusiasm, HBO Family Mobile
4. MySpace Deal
5. Sports – Exclusive deals with ESPN, Fox Sports, and FUEL
6. 50 million subscribers, #1 Wireless Carrier
7. Cingular Music Service (most likely will shift to iTunes)
8. Cingular has deals with record companies
10. Cingular already has podcasting services
Many people are unhappy with the exclusivity of Apple’s iPhone and Cingular Wireless. But, it’s nothing new. The Motorola Q is available only on Verizon (which I about switched from Cingular for). But the important thing is content. Apple, with its consumer electronics goals, is essentially in the content delivery business. They provide the means to get and enjoy content and that is where most of their money is made. Partnering with a wireless provider who already ‘gets it’ is a natural solution for their entrance into the mobile phone and computing foray.
