IE 7 Requiring Restart, originally uploaded by abrudtkuhl.

Why Microsoft, Why? They make me download two seperate applications to make sure my version of Windows is legal, which for all I know is spyware / malware. Then it takes 5 minutes to install (c’mon, it’s a damn browser). Now, I get to restart.

He?! You really think (for MS) it is a damn browser? Try deinstalling it (and I mean the complete implementation of IE, so first deinstall IE7, afterwards go clean go registry of IE6 rests).

Check now what works and what doesn’t work anymore of the eplorer structure. IE is just an add-on for Explorer, much like Windows Explorer is. Just type in a URI in Windows explorer address bar and you’ll notice how thight everything interacts.

I realize that IE is an extension of Explorer which is why it requires a restart. My qualm is that it should not be and should operate independently from explorer.

And people wonder why it’s a security risk - it shares the same base operating classes (code speak) as windows explorer - which just happens to be the foundation of Microsoft Windows user experience.

    I hate IE 7.

    Yes, good call!

So do we still have to support IE 6?
