John Battelle has recently launched his new baby, Federated Media Publishing.
Blurb from their site:
Federated Media Publishing
“At FM, our mission is to connect independent weblog authors, marketers and influential audiences in an ongoing conversation that feeds everyone involved.
FM represents outstanding authors whose sites cater to cultural influencers, technology decision makers, early adopters and business leaders. Our first “federation,” focused on digital business and culture, reaches millions and millions of unique readers every month. New federations in the small business, media/entertainment and parenting categories, representing millions of entrepreneurs, upscale consumers and families, are in the process of launching as well.”
That’s cool and all. It’s a great idea and an excellent online media advertising niche. It seems to be a copy of The Deck’s advertising model of using high traffic personal publishers to portray ads and involving big sponsors. And with John’s power I think it should surpass it.
My favorite thing about the whole service is the design and their aggregator. The aggregator is a nice display for the culmination of the various authors involved in the program. Grab the RSS feed here.
I don’t want to regurgitate reviews, so find more here
