building ganb

by Andy Brudtkuhl on November 8, 2005

building this site has been fun, especially since it’s been a collaborative project between tj and myself.

as i am sitting here doing development off the live server (that’s right, live) i think of the implications of doing design or development like this. is it good or bad? right now it’s bad because if i was done building the comments section, i would ask for opinions. but it would be cool for a design firm to do this and allow clients to see progress in real time (for those firms who don’t lie about progress and then work weekends to catch up).

i believe alex bosworth was building livemarks on a live server so people could see his progress or lack there of instantaneously. hmm. may be a good experiment.

other than that, things are coming along nicely. by now i have forgotten what i was going to actually post, so that sucks. keep posted for more fun stuff.

First official post

by Andy Brudtkuhl on November 8, 2005

As I sit here in my cubicle before the clock strikes 8am, listening to TWiT, I make my first post. I’m hoping that we have the page’s layout basically finished. We tweaked with the site trying to get things just right. I hope anyone and everyone who sees this will see how much we put into it.

welcome to our new site

by Andy Brudtkuhl on November 4, 2005

the purpose of this post is two-fold. first, we need it to test how copy looks within or lovely new layout. the second purpose is to say, well, that we are almost finished with what should be a sweet site (of course i am biased). our goal is to ‘analyze the web’ and not just puke up news and reviews we get from elsewhere. keep posted for good stuff.
